Do Vaccines Cause Autism? Exploring Updates from the CDC Website

On November 19th, 2025, the Center for Disease Control posted this update on their website "The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.

  • Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.
  • HHS has launched a comprehensive assessment of the causes of autism, including investigations on plausible biologic mechanisms and potential causal links."

So what does this mean?

Before we can discuss what the claims mean on the CDC website, it's important to talk about the foundations of vaccines as they are administered within the United States.

Firstly, the number of vaccines that children are required to get has increased since the 1900s.

For example, in 1962 there were about five doses that children needed of vaccines, they included polio, smallpox and DTP. By 1983, there were about 24 doses that children needed anywhere from birth to about five years old by 2016 there were over 72 recommended vaccines that the CDC recommended for children from birth, Even for women during pregnancy, then babies at birth and up to 18 years old. These vaccines include Tdap, rotavirus, Hep B, the flu vaccine, MMR, HPV, and so much more.

Now, the discrepancy, in my opinion, around vaccines can be categorized in a few different ways. Number one, you have people that question the efficacy and the effectiveness of vaccines. For example, some vaccines, such as the flu, are recommended that you get these vaccines each year, and this is because the flu virus has the ability to mutate or change, and so the vaccine that was administered in a prior year may not be effective for the mutated version of a vaccine in another year. So this could be interpreted in two different ways. Number one, you could find a natural way to support your immune system or a natural way to fight off the flu virus if you have the capability, or, number two, you can continue to get the shot. If you do not have any adverse reactions, which neither option (natural immunity vs flu shot) is deemed to be perfect, it's always going to be about risk versus reward versus adequacy of protection. Once again, in my opinion, then you have other vaccines, such as the MMR vaccine that some people allege makes for a higher risk of developing autism.

Now, in my opinion, autism, as we all know, is a spectrum. Now I will not say 100% that by getting vaccines, that a child is more likely to have autism. Autism ranges from increased awareness and hobbies to the lack of speech and needing 24/7 care.

Where I think the discrepancy comes into play is that some people may have the genetic predisposition to have higher chances of developing severe, less severe or more severe versions of autism, and that coming in contact with certain chemicals, medications at higher dosages than recommended, and without them being spread out over a certain period of time (to naturally detox the excess preservatives such as aluminum), could increase that risk. For example, let's take the compound Aluminum.

Let's take aluminum in the hepatitis B vaccine specifically. Now, the hepatitis B vaccine is given to children or babies when they are about two months old. Now if we look at the amount of aluminum that can be in a hep B vaccine, it can be about 0.5 milligrams.

Now if we compare that to the recommended amount of daily aluminum intake for a kid of that age, it is recommended by the FDA, the Food and Drug Administration, that there is a limit of five MICROGRAMS  per kilogram (of body weight) of aluminum for an infant's body to prevent toxicity.

So, let's do the math. It would be recommended that a baby who is 5kg at two months, have a maximum amount of aluminum 2.5 mcg of aluminum.

This can come from the food. If the baby's breast fed, it could come from breast milk. So if we add that to how much aluminum the baby has a chance of ingesting per day, or when they get a vaccine, it increases that amount. For example, once again, we're talking about the hep B vaccine, if the hepatitis B vaccine contains 0.50 milligrams, that's 500 micrograms of aluminum, And the recommended amount is five micrograms per kilogram.

Quick math summary:

  1. Recommended Daily Amount of aluminum for  2 month old = 5 micrograms
  2. Amount of Aluminum injected into a 2 month old from the Hep B Vaccine = 500 micrograms

THATS 100 TIMES THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT!

So that's where I think partial of the discrepancy comes into play, because it's hard to do double blind, placebo controlled studies of all of those vaccines, all of the ingredients that are in them, placed on the schedule that changes every however many years, and compare that to non vaccinated children.

Now what I will say is, in my opinion, it doesn't always boil down to the efficiency of the vaccine, if the toxicity of the ingredients have not been studied, and that's what I hope that this era brings about. And I, for one, am, glad that parents now have the opportunity to make informed consent, because even when I think back to when I first started asking questions about vaccines to my child's pediatrician, they told me that they had no information to give me as far as the ingredients go, as far as the potential side effects, they came and brought me a generalized sheet of paper that explained what a specific vaccine was and how helpful it (the vaccine) was. They had zero information to give me about the ingredients, and they also said that the type of vaccine that I would be administered to my child will be dependent on his insurance, meaning that certain insurances may be better.

I don't know if this was true or not, this is just what they told me at the doctor's office, and that's why they couldn't give me the specific ingredients. Depending on the insurance that you have, you might go get a specific prescription, and when you get to the pharmacy, they give you something else instead, because it's the generic brand or whatever the case may be. So that was enough for me to delay them for my son,  to be able to get more information on my own. And I think that that's the goal of this change to the CDC website, is to do more research. And by this being a research based blog, I think it's interesting that a lot of people that say trust the science are not fully aware that it's not just about the science. When it comes to pharmaceuticals, it's about money.

It's about money, it's about money, it's about lobbying, and it's about money, and your safety tends to come last, which is why there's a whole Vaccine Injury database, and that's also why the Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 was created. Per the HRSA website, "Although the Act provides liability protections to vaccine manufacturers and vaccine administrators who administer covered vaccines in many circumstances, these protections are not absolute."

So I am a person who does trust the evidence based science, and once they can provide the full evidence with the toxin levels, with the side effects, I will be excited to read them.Above I have listed some of the side effects of aluminum toxicity and poisoning, which mention neurological side effects such as "lack of curiosity, agitation, confusion, and speech disturbance."

I just think that sometimes the message isn't as black and white. Sometimes it requires deductive reasoning, which says, If A is true and B is true, isn't it possible that C can be true as well, which means, number one, if the vaccines themselves, the viruses that go into our bodies to help desensitize us to the disease, is effective, that's one thing. If the preservatives and the extra added ingredients that make the vaccine effective are toxic, and they're being compounded at levels that are way too high for children, whose bodies are still developing, kidneys are still developing to be able to excrete the extra out. The same population whose liver still developing, brain still developing, bones and muscles are still developing. Since our DNA can be altered by the medications that we take and the food that we eat, and genes can "turn on" or "turn off" based on the chemicals that we come in contact with....then is it possible? IS IT POSSIBLE?????

Is it at least slightly possible that the compounding of these vaccines could cause issues, and does that mean that it could increase the chances if someone is genetically predisposed to already have autism, for the child to have autism in a varying degree of severity? I look forward to the research that will continue to come out of this.
